Zoo Miami Tickets

• Zoo Miami is wheelchair accessible with special ramps and access stations.
• There are wheelchairs available to rent at the venue. Reserve strollers, wheelchairs, and motorized wheelchairs so that they don’t sell out.
• There are wheelchair accessible trams, golf carts and special accessible boats that enable wheelchair users to enjoy the several zoo tours.
• While service animals are welcome, emotional support animals are not considered service animals by the zoo.
• The zoo offers sensory backpacks for those that need them. You can find these at the Zoo Base along with a Sensory friendly map that lets you know where all the quiet zones are across the zoo.

• The Zoo has a number of restaurants and dining outlets to make sure you are nourished throughout your visit.
• Restrooms are available throughout the venue.
• There is a gift shop at the zoo from where you can pick up themed-memorabilia including toys, plush animals, apparel and jewelry.
• Free WiFi is available around the main dining areas.
• There are bikes available on rent to reduce the amount of time you spend walking around the large zoo.
• First aid is available at the zoo.

• Be careful of how you handle animals. Do not harass or harm them in any way.
• Avoid feeding the animals unless it is part of a feeding activity supervised by the zoo staff.
• Don’t cross any barriers between you and the areas where animals are kept.
• You cannot bring straws, balloons, skateboards, skates, bicycles, scooters, radios, glass containers, fireworks, balls, and frisbees to the zoo. 
• Pets are not allowed in the zoo.
• Do not pick any plants or leaves. 
• Speak nicely.  Vulgar, profane or disrespectful language is not allowed. 
• Food and beverages cannot be brought into the Zoo. 
• There are designated smoking areas. Do not smoke outside of these areas.

Heads up: The gift shop is completely bag free for wildlife conservation. We suggest you get a tote from home to keep all your souvenirs in. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your bags at home though, they have reusable bags for purchase.

• Expect a lot of walking as Zoo Miami is quite expansive. Comfortable footwear and light weight sports clothes will make your experience more pleasant.
• Miami can get very hot, especially in the summer months. Carry a water bottle, which you can refill at stations around the zoo to stay hydrated throughout your visit.
• Do not forget your sunscreen! The sun can be intense. Wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from UV rays while exploring the outdoor exhibits.
• Avoid the midday heat if you can. Arrive earlier in the day when the zoo opens.
• For families with small children, consider renting strollers or a safari cycle. These can make the trip easier and more enjoyable for young kids.
• Pack snacks for your zoo visit. You might find yourself famished between exhibits and a quick snack can keep you going.

• Gold Coast Railroad Museum: Located adjacent to Zoo Miami, this museum offers a glimpse into historic railroad cars and memorabilia, including a ride on a real steam engine.
• Larry and Penny Thompson Park: Right next to Zoo Miami, this large park offers camping facilities, a freshwater lake for swimming, and bike trails.
• Everglades National Park: This iconic national park offers a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, canoeing, and wildlife viewing.
• Coral Castle Museum: This intriguing outdoor museum created by a single man from over 1,100 tons of coral rock is a testament to ingenuity and mystery.
